St. Paul’s News
St. Paul’s Continues to Use Technology
St. Paul’s continues to hold in-person worship services on Sunday mornings in November. There is “overflow” seating in the undercroft if needed but so far everyone who comes has been able to sit (Socially distances) upstairs. Worshipers do need to wear a mask in church buildings. We also provide a livestream of the service via Facebook. Our Bishop encourages all Episcopal churches to use caution. As a result we are only holding smaller meetings for adults and older youth. Younger youth activities including our Bible Explorers are not meeting yet. Our kitchen is closed for the foreseeable future and meetings will not be serving food or beverages in the undercroft.
Food Pantry Gives Thanks for Canned Goods
The Food Pantry at St. Paul’s received many donations of food and financial resources this fall. Since spring we’ve been able to put canned items outside in our Annex which seems to be a good solution during COVID. Please call the office if you want to drop off something that is not in a can. We do not want to encourage our furry friends (raccoons, mice, ground hogs etc. to make the annex into a feeding station. Pleas no plastic packaging, no glass jars and no cardboard boxes. If the animals break open a jar or other container we do not have volunteers on standby to clean up the mess!. NOTE: The indoor Food Pantry will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to pick up items for Thanksgiving on Tuesday, Nov. 24th and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26th. Please wear a mask when you enter and be sure the door is completely closed when you depart.
Thanksgiving Day Worship
Thanksgiving Day is a major holy day recognized in the Episcopal Prayer Book calendar of the church year. There will be a service of thanks and praise at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving. All are welcome. We will seat the first 9 family groups of 1-4 people upstairs and the next 8 gamily groups in the undercroft. Families with more than 4 people should call in advance so we can ensure you have seats set aside for you.
